Roll-Off Operator
Onyx Environmental is seeking a Class 1 or 3 driver for the postion of Roll -Off Operator. Applicant should be a dependable, safety-conscious, experienced commercial driver who takes pride in precision and reliability. A roll-off truck driver will help keep things moving, and safely transport waste and recycling containers to and from customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks to safely transport waste and recycling containers.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, other drivers and staff.
- Maneuver and position roll-off containers accurately at customer sites.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including pick-ups, deliveries, and any incidents.
- Operate heavy trucks in challenging environments, in all weather, and adverse road conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 and/or Class 1 driver’s licenses.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening in effect.
- Mandatory that all applicants have a Valid H2S, & First Aid
- Experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy vehicles would be an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
